How It Works

Here are the exact steps on how Chapinka works

  • Step 1

    Post/Look For Items

    Need to sell your textbook or housing contract? Post it by navigating through the settings tab and you're set to start receiving offers. Buyers can search by ISBN #, title, or complex name by using the search page if needed.

  • Step 2

    Make an Offer

    Once you've seen what you need, click on the post and make an offer. If the seller has set the price to negotiable, then you may offer accordingly, if not, it is a set price.

  • Step 3

    An Email Is Sent To The Seller

    After your offer is made, an email will be sent with your contact information, the details of the item, and the price being offered to the seller. Buyers may also include a personal message if desired.

  • Step 4

    Secure The Deal

    If the seller likes the price you've offered or wants to negotiate even further, they will reply to you through the email sent to them. Also, if you provided the seller with a phone number, they may give you a text or call. Then both parties can meet on campus or other chosen designated areas to finish the deal.
