Typically if the page just refreshes and the fields clear, most likely there are fields that are required that are not filled out. It can also be that the image(s) you are trying to upload are being rejected because of their format. The only formats accepted for images are .jpg, .jpeg, and .png.

Simply register or login to be redirected to your account page and select which type of posting you would like to create. Then from there, fill out the form provided with your items information.
If your post has not sold after some time and you are wanting to put it back on top of the listings on the page, simply login to your account, then navigate to "view my posts", then click "bump post" on the post you want to bump. We give you 2 bumps for free! You can also purchase more bumps if you have already used those by clicking on the "Buy Now" button at the top of the page. After bumping a post, the date you bumped it on will appear as the date the post was created. This helps you avoid the hassle of creating new posts and will help you sell it faster. Any bumps not used when your post is sold are saved for later use (bumps can be used for any posting type).
The most common reason is that your apartment number is in the middle of your full address, this should be at the very end of your address. For example, "400 E 500 W, Provo, UT 84601 (#301)" is a correct address. An example of a incorrect address would be "400 E 500 W #301, Provo, UT 84601". If that did not fix your issue then you have mixed up the order of your address or you are missing a part of it.
You are limited in sending two offers per post to the seller, use them wisely. If the seller has not listed their phone number within the posting, you will have to wait patiently for them to get in contact with you. Some people have busy schedules and do not have the luxury of being able to respond quickly. With that being said, some of the most common reasons that you may have not heard back from the seller could be one or more of the following:

(1) For some reason their email provider marked it as spam and it was not sent directly to their inbox.


(2) The seller did not find the offer appealing and therefore did not respond.


(3) They have not checked their email recently or their text messages.


(4) Their inbox is cluttered and simply overlooked your email with the offer.


(5) And... to state the obvious, there are just too many possibilites and anything could have happend.



Unfortunately, if you never hear back from them, we do not give out their information. You will just have to move on to another listing where they respond back to you. Also, keep in mind that it may take up to a few days to receive a response.
If you did not fill out all the information accurately during your registration, then your account could be disabled. A common mistake is having an invalid email address. In which case you will have to send us a valid one for your account to be reactivated. Also, if your account has been reported for some reason, you will need to contact us to resolve any issues that have occured.
If your university does not appear in the filters for the textbook or housing pages, this means that there are no listings currently avaliable at that university. Once someone creates post at that university, it will then be shown in the filters. In short, only universities that have posts will appear.
Due to the fact that this is a student specific website, the busiest times when we have the most traffic are typically during the beginning and ending of each semester. This is because classes are ending and beginning, so students are buying and selling their textbooks and contracts, which in turn largely increases traffic during those specific weeks. With all that said, there is still a large audience that uses Chapinka.com during all times of the year and during the semester. Whether you are looking for housing contracts and/or textbooks or planning on selling, you will still be able to have success.
